She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Lawrence Churchwell and Allie Brewer Churchwell; her husband Charles W. Pitts; her son Charles Lawrence "Chuck" Pitts; her siblings, Margie Taylor, Homer Churchwell, Billy Churchwell and Tommie Churchwell; and her nephew Brandon Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah; her son-in-law Brent Coleman; her grandsons, Robert Wesley Pitts (Krissy), Joshua Lawrence Pitts (Jen), Justin Christopher Coleman and Tyler Charles Coleman (Meghan); her great grandchildren, Aalissa Pitts, Lennon Pitts and Abel Pitts; and her sister Betty Smith (Rudy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
