Anita Maitland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anita Maitland of Byron, Georgia, who passed away on November 11, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, T. W. Purvis and Senora Williams Purvis; her siblings, Billy Purvis and Anne Mae; and her siblings-in-law, Gene Fey, Sr. and Rosie Purvis.
She is survived by: her husband George Maitland; her brother Herbert "Ace" Purvis; her children, Pam Lukat, Macon, Frances Ann Hewell (Buddy), Gray, Charolette Cleghorn (Dorsey), Robin Endicott and Chandler W. Maitland; and her stepchildren, Tracy Maitland-Martin (Leonard), Charles L. Maitland (Karen), Virginia and George T. Maitland (Sarah). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.
