He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret of Byromville, Georgia; his sons, Douglas Eugene Peters (Jane) of Athens and Dr. Jesse Darrell Peters (Susan) of Durango, Colorado.; his sisters-in-law, Reba Green of Americus, Georgia. and Gail Harsh of Americus, Georgia.; and his parents, Emory Lee and Ophelia Simmons Peters of Walton County, Georgia. He was also cherished by Several nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
