He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bassett, Sr. and Annie Ruth Hardison Bassett; his wife Edna Jane Carroll Bassett; and his son William Michael Bassett. He is survived by: his children, David Bassett (Tammy) of Musella and Sandra Armstrong (Greg) of Musella; and his sisters, Caro Bassett of Dyersburg, TN, Shirley Bassett of Dyersburg, TN and Minna Bassett. He is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
