He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Purvis, Sr. and Annie McCall Purvis; his brother Tommy Purvis, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Purvis. He is survived by: his son Jody Scott Purvis (Amber) of Butler; his siblings, John Purvis (Pam) of Micanopy, FL, Joan Whitaker (Bobby) of Colquitt and Judy Lawson (Dean) of Butler; and his grandchildren, Landon Morgan, Hannah Purvis and Jody Purvis, Jr. of Butler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (1218 Americus Hwy, Butler, GA 31006). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
