She was predeceased by: her husband David Jackson Skinner, Jr.; her parents, Crawford Forte and Connie Stringer-Butler; and her sisters, Carol Forte and Barbara Ivy.

She is survived by: her children, David Skinner III (Lori) of Decatur, MI, James Skinner (Joanie) of Youngsville, NC and Christi Lenz (Gary) of Buford; her grandchildren, Ryan Garr (Bobbi), Matthew Garr (Nikki), Jonathan Lenz, Jacob Lenz and Sarah Skinner; her children, Erin Wedemeyer-Swain and Matt Wedemeyer; her great grandchild Vera Garr; and her siblings, Marty McCoy of Chico, CA and Buddy Forte of College Park, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
