He was predeceased by: his wife Charlene Rogers Jones; his parents, John William Jones and Ruth Martin Jones; his sister Helen McCurdy; and his granddaughter Layla Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Rood (Mark) of Duluth, GA and Rev. Keith Jones (Christi) of Malaga.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Crowell Brothers Buford Chapel (201 Morningside Dr, Buford, GA 30518). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:05 AM at the North Atlanta Memorial Park (5188 Winters Chapel Rd, Atlanta, GA 30360).
