He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Dooly, Jr. (PeeWee) and Emma Gertrude Carson Dooly; his former wife Barbara S. Dooly; his daughter Joyce Dooly Figueroa; his grandson Joshua Smallwood; and his brother Jim Dooly.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Alexander Dooly; his brother Jack Dooly (Angela); his children, Tammy Renee Lyle (Jim), John Henry Dooly IV (Dawn), Mark Anthony Dooly (Lori) and Cheryl Dooly Smallwood (Larry); and his grandchildren, Bryan Hayes, Ruth Hein, Rebecca Cribbs, Zackery Smallwood, Justin Dooly and Tyler Smallwood. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
