With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Burdette (Buford, Georgia), who passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Forrest and Loren Sparks Burdette. He is survived by: his wife Lahoma Woods Burdette; his children, George Carlton "Buz" Burdette (Lori), Forrest Wade Burdette (Holly) and Allison Heusel (David); his grandchildren, Andrew Zackary Burdette (Margaret), Heather Mae Heusel Schmidt (Daniel), Harrison David "Harry" Heusel and Landon Cole Burdette; and his sister Emma Sue Burdette O'Neill.
The lying in state was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ivy Creek Baptist Church (2500 Ivy Creek Rd, Buford, GA 30519). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Ivy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (2500 Ivy Creek Rd, Buford, GA 30519).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ivy Creek Baptist Church building fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
