He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Lamar Minter; and his son Devon Jarvoris Smith. He is survived by: his mother Nettie Ruth Minter; his children, Nyshana Terry (Tony) of Columbus, Georgia, Daytriel Minter of Columbus, Georgia, JaKeria Minter of Columbus, Georgia and James Carter of Columbus, Georgia; his siblings, Maurice Minter, Lou Ann Minter, Veronica Hunter, Kenyada Minter, Adrian Minter and Sammie; his grandmother Johnnie B. Minter (Georgia); his uncles, Jeffery Minter, Sr. (Shadonna) and Timothy Minter (Lisa); and his friend Demetria Muff-Greene. He is also survived by twelve nephews, six nieces, and two great nieces.
