It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael John Medders Jr. of Buena Vista, Georgia, born in Dublin, Georgia, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Michael John, Sr. and Janie M. Medders of Statesboro, GA; his wife Leigh Rogers Medders of Buena Vista; his children, Trip Medders of Atlanta, Emmy Medders of Atlanta and Bense Medders of Buena Vista; his sister Michelle Rushing (Mark) of Statesboro, GA; his mother-in-law JoAnne Rogers; and his siblings-in-law, Misty (Jeff McAfee) and Tom (Gynger). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
