She was predeceased by: her parents, Deroy Floyd and Dorothy Bius Elder; and her brother Roy Elder, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband R. W. "Wayne" Chalkley of Buena Vista, GA; her daughters, Pamela Chalkley DeLapp of Buena Vista, GA and Jana Chalkley Martin (Matt) of Fortson, GA; her grandchildren, Colton Lee DeLapp, Reese Lydia Martin and Rylie Louise Martin; and her siblings, Hilda Collins (Melvin), Leon Elder, Eddie Elder (Peggy), Dr. Joe Elder (Shirley), Ben Elder (Missy), Dan Elder (Laurel) and John Elder.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 687 GA Hwy 30, Buena Vista, GA 31803.
