He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Brown and Willie B. Taylor; his son Johnnie Lee Taylor, Jr.; his siblings, Roy Brown, Lee Brown, Jr., Johnny Brown and Ruby Williams; and his daughter-in-law Sylvia Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Mary A. King, Bernice Harris (Andrew), Robert Taylor (Marcia), Georgia A. Taylor, Geraldine Thomas, James Taylor, Gwendolyn King (Johnny), Freddie Taylor and Millicent Perry (Darryl); his daughter-in-law Minerva Taylor (Georgia); his siblings, Ellie Christine Brown, Nellie Jones, Bertha Brown, Rushia Corley, Arthur Brown, Charlie Brown and Marjette Gaines; and his siblings-in-law, Major Ivory (Rebecca) and Geraldine Ivory. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren.
