He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Isom and Lila Duncan Isom; and his siblings, Evelyn Watson, Preston Isom, Beatrice Grimsley, L. T. Isom, Junior Isom, Bobbie Jean Sivell, Jeannette Sivell and Sara Anthony.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Isom; his children, Jolena Lawhorn (Jason), Jenna Frost (Jason), J. W. "Bo" Isom (Lauren), Jinger Moxley (Josh) and Joanie Welch (Kyle); his sister Judy Kirby; and his grandchildren, Luke Moxley, Cody Moxley, Jolie Frost, Lila Jo Lawhorn, Lucy Isom, Jace Welch, Landry Isom, Kaleb Welch and Klay Welch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tazewell Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
