She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur "Shim" Powell and Nannie Mae Wells Powell; her sister Thelma; and her brother-in-law Don Bunch. She is survived by: her husband Tony T. Benford of Buena Vista, GA; her children, Scott (Chris Benford), David (Catherine Benford) and Denise; her son-in-law Eric Studdard of Buena Vista, GA; her siblings, Arthur Powell (Sherrill Humber), Martha (Charles Austin) and Darlene (Clay Allen); and her pet Laci Benford. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
