He is survived by: his wife Regina Currington of Buena Vista, GA; his children, Martyna Currington, Cody Currington of Buena Vista, GA and Adam Currington of Buena Vista, GA; his siblings, Flem (Judy Smith), Jerry (Cathy Smith) and Drucilla (Billy Swick); his grandchildren, Jasper Currington, Jadon Currington, Mackenzie Jenkins, Austin Currington, Gage Currington, Garrett Mills, Gavin Mills, Chrysta Danner, Danni Ross, Wyatt Ross and Hannah Owens; his great grandchild Naomi Currington; and his close friend Ronnie Simmons.

“So sad to lose our good neighbor of 21 years. We will miss him greatly. We know at this time there is nothing we can say to the family that will soften the loss of Danny. Like my father, he passed at such a young age. Even though I have "walked in your shoes" I know that does not make it easier. We are just left to weep with you. Ewell, Donna, and Ray Pritchett”
