It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Howard Helms (Buena Vista, Georgia), who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dan Howard Helms to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Leius and Cornelia Jordan Helms; and his brothers, Charles Helms, Max Helms and Bailey Helms.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Helms of Columbus, GA; his children, Paul Helms (Michelle) of Hamilton, GA, David Helms of Hamilton, GA and Lisa Cannon (Kevin) of Salem, AL; his sisters, Ellen Watkins of Albany, GA and Mary Wells of Palmetto, GA; and his grandchildren, Ashley Helms, Stephanie Bierman, Christine Criscillis, Daniel Helms and Kim McConnell. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Providence Baptist Church (161 Providence Church Rd, Buena Vista, GA 31803). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
