She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Tanner and Lula Tanner; and her husband Rassey Smith. She is survived by: her children, Robert Smith, Sr., Virginia Winters, Benjamin, Margie Denning and Freda Knight; and her siblings, Johnny Tanner, Larry Tanner, Edith McGarity and Sarah Thomas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held later.
