He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Benefield, Sr. and Clara Mae Davis Benefield; his wife Martha "Annette" Benefield; his son William "Rickey" Benefield; and his sisters, Myra "Joyce" Cain and Gloria F. Witcher.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl; his son-in-law Randy Barkwell of Bremen; his son Jody; his daughter-in-law Joan Benefield of Buchanan; and his siblings, Doris Strickland of Covington and James "Gary" Benefield of Bremen. He is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and several other family and friends.
