He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Benjamin Starkenberg and June Rothrock Starkenberg; and his son Forrest Starkenberg. He is survived by: his wife Diana Gale Starkenberg of Buchanan; his brother Bernard; his sister-in-law Eleanor Starkenberg of Boston; his stepdaughters, Rhonda (Ronn Quinn) of Villa Rica and Kelly Ann Dunn of Bowdon; his granddaughter Anna Carroll; his great grandchildren, Tallon Tilley and Isabel Tilley; and his nieces, Carla Starkenberg and Amy Cross.
