He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Eugene Pollard and Ola Mae Hartley Pollard; and his siblings, Carol Welchel, J. E. Pollard, Delmar Pollard, Donald Pollard and Melvin Pollard.

He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Magelene "Mag" Melear of Buchanan and Sandra C. Wade of Bremen; and his close friends, Jamie, Rodney George, Bennie Westmoreland and Danny Hutcheson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
