She was predeceased by: her parents, James Abram Ayres and Lucille Colley Ayres; and her siblings, James A. Ayres, Jr., Mae Ayres Hammock and Elsie Ayres.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Bryan Calhoun; her sons, Charles (Rebecca Calhoun), Cary (Lane Calhoun) and Bill (Wanda Calhoun); and her grandchildren, Bryan Calhoun, James Calhoun, Mark Calhoun, Rob, Elizabeth Calhoun, Paul, Leah Calhoun, David, Crystal Calhoun, Caroline Calhoun, Maggie Chewning, Katie Chewning and Ross Chewning.
The family request that in lieu of flowers those desiring to honor Mrs. Calhoun may make charitable donations to Buchanan United Methodist Church, PO Box 342, Buchanan, GA 30113.
