He was predeceased by: his parent John Alton Cheatwood; and his brother Johnny Cheatwood. He is survived by: his parent Myrtle Irene Perry Cheatwood; his wife Kaye Walden Cheatwood of Buchanan; his daughter-in-law John Mitchell Cheatwood of Buchanan; his grandchildren, Samantha, Sam, Skylar Cheatwood of Buchanan, Tyler Cheatwood, Jessica Cheatwood of Rockmart and Rheana Cheatwood of Rockmart; his sisters-in-law, Judy Cheatwood of Cedartown, JoAnn Shadrix and Kenneth Shadrix of Carrollton; his niece Amberly Gordon of Carrollton; his nephew Chad Cheatwood of California; and also, James Thad, April Cheatwood of Buchanan, Tracey Gordon of Carrollton, Christine Cheatwood of California, Glenda Smith of Buchanan, Karen Jones and Joe Jones of Buchanan.
