He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Matthew Hobbs and Mary Lou Leatherwood Hobbs; and his siblings, Estoria Buchanan, Estelle Bramlett, William Hobbs, Ernest Hobbs, Henry Hobbs and Harvey Hobbs.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Weaver Hobbs of Buchanan; his children, Sheila Freitas (Richard) of Tacna, Lorri Ferguson (Mark) of Dallas, Brian Hobbs of Buchanan and Alan Hobbs of Buchanan; his sister Joanne Pope of Buchanan; and his grandchildren, Kent Johnson, Erica Weir, Brandon Hobbs, Brent Hobbs, Alex Garcia, Cody Garcia, Kaci Ward and Tyler Hobbs. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren as well as a number of nieces, nephews.
