It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Stephens of Buchanan, Georgia, born in Laurens, South Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie Bostic Faulkner and William Herbert Faulkner; her husbands, Elbert Stephens and W. L. "Billy" Simpson; her sons, Donnie Simpson, Randy Stephens and Barry Stephens; her siblings, Jeanetta Faulkner, Geneva Glen, Thelma Hendrix, Selma Chumbly, Mattie Parker, Houston Faulkner, Willie Lee Faulkner, Olin Faulkner, Roy Faulkner and John Calvin Faulkner; and her grandson Bryan Shank.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gwen Simpson Barker (Rocky), Linda Stephens Sims (Randy) of Weedowee, AL, Kristy Stephens Harper (Bennett) of Crossville, TN and Lee Stephens Dempsey; her daughter-in-law Annette Stephens; her sister-in-law Frances Faulkner of Laurens, SC.; her grandchildren, Kim Simpson Barker, Josh Barker, Bryan Stephens, Brandon Stephens, Randy Stephens, Melissa Stephens Williams, Leslie Walker Harper, Daniel Walker and Amanda Parker; her great grandchildren, Averick, Austin, Dylan, Ashlyn, Colton, Haley, Madison, Emily, Samantha, Jacob, Micah, Melaki, Ben, Charley, Ayden, Abbey, Andrew and Ali; and her nieces, Anne Iddins and Betty Phillips. She is also survived by seven great great-grandchildren; sister.
