We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2021, at the age of 51, Derae Ann Short of Buchanan, Georgia, born in Carrollton, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Horace Smith; and her son Marty Lee Short. She is survived by: her husband Marty L. Short; her mother Annie Lou Layton Smith; her children, Amy Short Dill (Michael), Emily Short, Holly Short and Travis Short (Jessica); her daughter-in-law Sandra Short; her brothers, Donnie Smith and Dana Smith; her grandchildren, Adrianna Short, Leigha Ford, Kameron Ford, Matthew Short, Autumn Short, Marty Lee Short, Noah Short, Alexander Dill, Archie Dill, Amelia Ann Dill, Tristen Dill and Teagan Dill; and her great grandchild Bailey Ford.
In accordance with the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, social distancing guidelines will be in place as well as the use of masks required for all services provided for Mrs. Short.
