She was predeceased by: her parents, James Newtman Elder and Winifred Louise Hickox Elder. She is survived by: her children, Candace Hires (Jammy) and Jonathan Eric Wimmbauer; her grandchildren, Hunter Hires, Bailey Hires, Justin Thornton and Jonathan Thornton; and her sisters, Betty Walker, Mary Alice Spence (Bobby) and Faye Dowling.
