He is survived by: his father Sonny Rushing of Brunswick; his children, Joshua David Rushing of Brunswick and Kristen Marie Rushing of Waynesville; his grandchildren, Jostan Eli Murphy, Cameron Jayce Smith and David Cole Rushing; and his siblings, Christopher Basil Rushing (Shawn) of Brunswick, Alton Ira Rushing (Terri) of Waynesville, Mallard Ward Rushing of Brunswick, Shelley Griffis (Brad) of Brunswick and Kelly Drake (Alan) of Virginia.
