It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lala Searcy (Brunswick, Georgia), who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Joe Lanzo; her husband Willie Morris Searcy, Sr.; her parents, Henry Jefferson Hobbs and Liller Hill Hobbs; and her son Jacob Lamont.
She is survived by: her children, Willie Jr., Esau, Ralph, Kenneth, Mary Searcy, Laurice Williams, Patricia Lewis, Velita Degraft and Gwen Whalon; and her sisters, Edna Blakley, Lovie Mae Hobbs and Armanda Hobbs Ferguson. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside services must wear a mask.
