He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Miller and Mary Miller of Decatur, Georgia.; and his son Christopher Owen Miller. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Owen Miller (Ginger); his daughter Ashley M. Miller; his grandson Owen Christopher Miller of Brunswick; his sister-in-law Janette Owen of Centerville, Georgia.; his sister Pat Monstrud; and his nieces, Debi Evans and Cindi Monsam.
