He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Thomas and Annie Thomas; and his siblings, Howard Thomas and Helen Howard. He is survived by: his children, Gary Thomas (Patti) and Melanie Joy Cole; his grandchildren, Stacy Sturgis, Ashley Herndon (Mark), Cole Deaver, Tyler Deaver and Madison Deaver; and his sister Irene Dixon of Blackshear. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his special friend.
