He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Griffin and Marjorie Geneva Crews Griffin; and his siblings, Janelle G. Simpson, Linda Gail, Norma Jean Griffin and Mannan Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Burniece Johnson Griffin of Brunswick; his sister Debbie; his granddaughters, Annie Melissa McCarter, Jennifer Leigh Petty (Mike) and Kendra Star Cathey (Paul); his great grandchildren, Shayleigh Ann Petty, Cora Jane Petty, Kennedy Grace Cathey and Silas Robert Cathey; and his siblings, Roy Eldean Griffin, Fred Lamar Griffin (Judy), Barbara Ann G. Tucker (Mike), Terry Griffin (Darlene), Deborah Kay G. McCarter (Bobby) and Ricky Wayne Griffin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
