She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ammons and Laila Ammons; her husband Joseph Slaughter Sr.; her sister Ruth Smith; and her grandson Lance Slaughter.
She is survived by: her children, Joey Slaughter (Peggy), Sharon Krauss (Ron), Bill Slaughter (Fran) and James Slaughter (Donna). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles or Arco United Methodist Church.
