He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Vaughn and Sybil Pearl Gentry Vaughn; his wife Patricia Ann Jackson Vaughn; and his brother Richard Vaughn. He is survived by: his daughters, Christy Futch of Jacksonville, FL and Amy Cox of Flowery Branch, GA; his sons-in-law, Tim Futch and Jon Cox; his grandchildren, Gracie, Annie, David and Hannah; his sister Shirley Wellborn of Atlanta; his brother-in-law Steve Wellborn; his niece Tiffany Held; and his nephew Eric Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
