He is survived by: his children, Matthew Harper (Eden) of Douglas, GA and Suzanne Carelock of Broxton, GA; his mother Mamie Frances "Sue" Harper of Broxton, GA; his sister Cheyenne Harper Adkins (Bryan) of Broxton, GA; and his grandchildren, Hunter Reed Carelock, Mayley Frances Carelock, Carter Reese Harper, Bristol Nell Harper, Brinly Brielle Harper, Charlie Lane Harper and Laysen Anthony Harper. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, Inc. (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Harper Cemetery (34 Elam Harper Rd, Ambrose, GA 31512).
