He was predeceased by: his parent Esther Strickland Ivey; and his wife Addie Hunt Ivey. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Larry Ivey (Wanda) and Terry Ivey (Martha). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Eternal Hope Hospice, 123 N 18th St, Griffin, GA 30223.
