He was predeceased by: his former wife Margie Grant of Virginia; his father Josiah Shelby; his wife Virginia Ellington; and his siblings, Willie Jo Ellington, Elmer Ellington, Herman Ellington, Ray Ellington, Ruby Ellington, Opal Alexander, Mattie Bell Ridgeway and Gertrude Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Margie Hollomon and Michael Ellington; his brother Grady; his sister-in-law Hazel Ellington of Gay; his children-in-law, Olin Hollomon of Richland and Lynn Ellington of Brooks; his grandchildren, Carrie Gibson (Scot) of Brooks, Sarita Griggs (Adam) of Richland and Amanda Hollomon of Richland; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie Gibson, Thomas Gibson, Micah Gibson, Maverick Gibson, Maccoy Gibson and Lowin Griggs. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
