With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Andrew Rhodes of Brooks, Georgia, born in Panama City, Florida, who passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Matthew Michael Rhodes; his father George (Rhodes); his grandparents, Thomas Henry Davis, Lula Mae Davis, James Andrew Rhodes and Mannio Mayday Rhodes; and his parents-in-law, Mavis Moore Phillips and Lewis G. Phillips, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Phillips Rhodes of Brooks; his daughter Meredith; his son-in-law Caleb Shuler of Sparta, TN; his mother JoAnn Rhodes of Lynn Haven, FL; his sister Julia Rhodes Ruschmann (David Ruschmann); and his sister-in-law Patti Lynn Phillips of Brooks.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in honorarium to Saint Andrew's Baptist Church, Christian Care Center, in Panama City, Florida, his childhood church.

“We offer our sincere condolences on Andy's passing. Such a kind and loving man who lived such a good and gracious life. He will be sorely missed by many people who's lives he has touched. One of my fondest memories of Andy was him kindly, maybe begrudgingly, letting his goofy girl cousin tag along with him and Julia when I visited Uncle George and Aunt JoAnn's house. Those times were special to me. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, love, Gwen and Tom.”
