Though Howard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Howard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Tanksley and Mary Leach Tanksley Biles (Willa Kierbow Tanksley); his son Randy Howard Tanksley; and his siblings, Eli Otto Tanksley, Janie Ison and Margaret Harkness.
He is survived by: his son Craig; his daughter-in-law Stacie Tanksley of Brooks, GA; his sister Doris; his brother-in-law Gene Thompson of Brooks, GA; and his sister Ruth Thompson of Eastman, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
