He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Bruce Tyson and Annie Mae McLarty Tyson; and his sister Dorothy Tyson Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Serenah Jane Hughes Tyson; his children, Andrea Neal (Randy), Nathan Tyson (Beth), Claire Culbreth (Don) and Michelle Speer (Todd); his grandchildren, Rebecca McLean (Dave), Valerie Lenderman (Geoff), Kyle Culbreth (Danielle), Jesse Neal (Mary), Rachel Neal, Melissa Osborne (John), Jessica Sowell (Brennen), Taylor Tyson, Stephanie Speer and Renah Tyson; and his great grandchildren, Braxton, Jacob, Aidan, Zoe, Easton, Amelia and Magdalena.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30-11:50 AM prior to the service at the church, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity in his honor.
