He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Dean and Selma Brannen Lanier; his siblings, Sara Grace Norris and Samuel Glisson; and his sister-in-law Ann Glisson.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Glisson Lanier of Brooklet; his children, Laura Carolyn Sheffield (Josh) of Brooklet and Thomas Kelvin Lanier of Waycross; his brother John B. Lanier of Brooklet; his siblings-in-law, Dollie Dyches (James), Betty McKanna, Sandra Royal (Jerdie) and Jesse Glisson (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Taylor Vezo, Michaela Jane Vezo, Kristina Logan Lanier and Andrew Kelvin Lanier; and his stepgranddaughter Sara Beth Sheffield.
