He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Kersey and Lucille Deal Kersey of Sylvania; and his siblings, Emory Kersey of Greensboro, Claude Kersey of Sylvania and Sandra Brown of Statesboro.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Kersey of Brooklet; his daughter Erin Watkins; his son-in-law Brad; his grandchildren, Amelia and Thomas of Powder Springs; and his sisters, Hilda Dutrow (Jim) of Statesboro, Faye Hunter of Statesboro, Winnette Moore of Adrian and Georgia.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joiner Anderson Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 4025 Friendship Church Rd., Statesboro, GA 30458, would be appreciated.
