It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Jean Southwell of Brooklet, Georgia, born in Reidsville, Georgia, who passed away on August 14, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elliott Geiger and Ophelia Geiger (Cribbs); and her siblings, Jack Geiger and Gladys Klapper. She is survived by: her husband Hugh Franklin Southwell; her sister Ann Geiger; her daughters, Lisa Anne Southwell and Rita Powers; her grandchildren, Marlan Eller and Rachel Lockhart; and her great grandchildren, Bailey and Chloe Lockhart.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials to be sent to the Hinesville First United Methodist Church, 203 North Main Street, Hinesville, GA 31313.
