She was predeceased by: her significant other Horace Knight; her son Hal Eugene Knight; her parents, Jasper Irbin Newman and Freida McElveen Newman; and her siblings, Eugenia Newman and Inman Newman.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Smith, Hank Knight (Trisha) and Ernie Knight (Norma Jean); her grandchildren, Harlee Daniel, Alison Santana (Marc), Emily Gibson (Wayne), Hal Knight (Jaci), Cam Miles (Julee), Shianne Gilmore (Brandon), Sabrina Gay (Tyler) and Jamie Hackle (Stephen); and her great grandchildren, Colton Rushing (Hadley), Ava Santana, Emarie Santana, Grace Gibson, Ethan Gibson, Haley Knight, Raylyn Knight, Hutson Knight, Violet Gilmore, Auggy Gay and Briggs Bradley.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lanes Primitive Baptist Church (1022 Lanes Church Rd, Brooklet, GA 30415). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
