She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther McClaine Dowdy and Annie Nall Dowdy; and her brothers, Warren and James. She is survived by: her great grandchild Lynn Denmark Soliday (Mark) of Evans, GA; her grandchildren, Sue Denmark Strickland (Terry) of Statesboro, GA, Gary Warnell Denmark (Laurie Seifert) of Brooklet, GA and Victoria Juanita Denmark Marks (Ladd) of Marietta, GA.; her great grandchild Parker David; her grandchildren, Bryan Strickland (Heather Williams), Bryan Gage of Sylvania, GA, Shane Strickland (Tracy Crosby) of Garfield, GA, Daniel Warnell Denmark (Mindy Sims), Olen Warnell of Brooklet, GA, Hannah Denmark Nevil (James), Leo Parker, Rowe Wilder of Nevils, GA, Sydney McClaine Marks of Atlanta, GA and Lane Sinclair Marks of Marietta, GA.; her son Gary; her daughter-in-law Laurie; her spouse E. Dent Newton of Brooklet; her brother-in-law Carroll Denmark; and her cousin Bonnie Mays Underwood (Kai). She is also survived by her family and friends as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brooklet Community Church (201 Parker Ave N, Brooklet, GA 30415). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
