He is survived by: his wife Gloria Evans Grooms of Brooklet; his son Joseph A.; and his stepchildren, Craig Smith (Joy) of Brooklet and Terry Deloach (Greg) of Brooklet. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
