He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Christopher Malphus and Thelma Irene Griffin Malphus; and his wife Susie Bell Edwards Malphus. He is survived by: his children, Dorie Rogers (Eddie), Marie Hoover and Amanda James; his grandchildren, Eddie Rogers, Jr., Caleb James, Jessie James, Trenton Strickland and Russel Riner; his great grandchildren, Leah Faith Rogers and Sadie Noel Rogers; and his cousin Janice. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
