It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Dickerson of Brooklet, Georgia, who passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Smith and Lillie Mitchell Smith; her husband Harold Dickerson; her son Hal Dickerson; her stepmother Sarah D. Smith; and her brothers, Calvin Smith and John Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Evette Bennett (Garland) of Pembroke; her siblings, Steve Smith (Darlene) of Meldrim, GA, Saralyn Wells of Pembroke, Elizabeth Sailor (Ralph) of Black Creek and Debbie Myers (Junior) of Pembroke; her granddaughters, Kimberly Bennet Jackson (Maurice) of Statesboro and Karey Bennett Butler of Pembroke; and her great grandchildren, Justin Jackson (Anna), Hilarie Jackson, Ashlyn Butler, Grayson Butler and Jarrett Butler. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to COVID-19 the funeral home will limit the amount of guest in the building at one time and ask that guest practice social distancing as well. Face mask are mandatory inside the funeral home.
