He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Carpenter Shuman; his children, Becky Knight (Greg), Peggy Wade, Hank McCarthy (Judy), Donna Cromley, Chris McCarthy, Jeanna Daniel, April Shuman and Izzy; his grandchildren, Jamie DiGiovanni (Joe), Wesley Knight, Melissa Marble, Megan Rewis (Lance), Amber Wade (Nick Aguilar), Jake Wade (Sarah), Hillary Brown (Chad), David McCarthy (Kayla), Gatlin Daniel (Brooke), Colby Cromley (Savanna), Becca Martin (Peter), Leah Carter (Cole), Haley Tillman (Tanner) and Gracie Daniel; and his siblings, Lanette Hodges (Billy) and John "Bud" Shuman.
