She was predeceased by: her husband Elliott Dent Simmons; and her daughter Susan Broome. She is survived by: her children, James Randall Motes (Sara), Teresa Ann Baxley (Ken), Joan Stafford (Stephen) and Danny Simmons (Fran); and her former husband James Motes. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
